10 and Under/Quickstart

About the 10 and Under/Quickstart Program

Our 10 and Under (Quickstart – QST) program is progression based, devised specifically for young, beginner tennis players, aged approximately 5 to 10 years old. QST systematically adapts court size, racquet size, and also the ball itself to better suit the size, strength and stride length of very young kids. These crucial modifications create the downsized environment within which kids learn better and become more successful at every stage of growth, while they inevitably grow into ‘full-sized’ tennis. Offered Weekdays (Mon – Fri) at 4:00 to 5:00 pm. Max. 6 kids per court. QST Dress Code: 90% White. Make-ups are allowed with prior permission. 

Sunday Matchplay (*3:00 – 4:30 pm) is included for Orange and Green Ball players. (*timings could be subject to change.)

Sunday Matchplay is not offered for Red Ball players – they are not yet ready for this.

QST/Red Ball
(Beginner)

Stage: Beginner. Ages: suitable for 5 to 7 years. Ball Type: Red Foam and Red Felt – both types move slower and bounce lower than Orange Ball. Court Size: 36′ x 18′. Net height: 2’9″. Racquet Size: up to 23″. Group Instruction with specialized drills and games. Emphasis is on hand-eye coordination, learning to hit.

Enroll for 1 day or multiple days of the week, according to your preference (Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu or Fri). All offered as (4) 10-Week Sessions.

Cost: $350/10 weeks

QST/Orange Ball
(Advanced Beginner to Intermediate)

Stage: Advanced Beginner to Intermediate. Ages: suitable for about 8 to 10 years. Ball Type: Orange Felt, which moves slower and bounces lower than Green Ball. Court Size: 60′ x 27′. Net height: 3′ center. Racquet Size: 23″ to 25″. Group Instruction with specialized drills and games. Emphasis is on learning to rally and learning fundamental strokes. Points play is introduced.

Enroll for 1 day or multiple days a week, per your preference (Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu or Fri). Offered as (2) 20-Wk Semesters – SEM 1: September – January and SEM 2: February to June.

Cost: $840/20 weeks

QST/Green Ball
(Advanced U10s)

Stage: Advanced U10s. Weekdays 4:00 – 5:00 pm. NOTE: 10 years and under eligible as soon as the player has earned the minimum required points in USTA Orange Ball Tournaments. Ball Type: Green Felt – which moves slower and bounces lower than regular Yellow ball. Court Size: 78′ x 36′ (full size). Net Height: 3′ center. Racquet Size: 25″ to 27″.  Group Instruction – warm-up and conditioning, followed by specialized drills and points play. Emphasis is on stroke mechanics. Players will aim for consistency in rallying, and learn to score.

Enroll for 1 day or multiple days a week, per your preference (Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu or Fri). Offered as (2) 20-Wk Semesters – SEM 1: September – January and SEM 2: February to June.. Note: Enrollment into Tue or Thu is by selection only – contact club to schedule an evaluation.

Cost: $840/20 weeks

Sunday ‘Drop in’ Match Play

Match Play is a great opportunity to test the skills you develop during programs! Singles and Doubles matches are set up according to the players ability level by the coaching staff. Learn how to play games, keep score, etc.

Open to all players enrolled in the Orange Ball and Green Ball. No advance sign up required, simply come in and compete!

Cost: None

Time: Sundays: 3:00-4:30 pm – subject to change.
